I have learned a few things over the past month or so concerning new life experiences. If you are going to survive with your sanity intact, you must adhere to the following five pieces of advice:

1. Keep Your Faith
It makes no difference what religion you practice or don’t practice for that matter. Believe in something. Believe that what’s happening is exactly what is supposed to be happening in order to push you to the next level.

2. Stand Your Ground
Do not be intimidated by people who think they know it all. Don’t listen to 20 different people because you will get 20 different opinions about which course of action you should take. You will be more confused than when you started. Make your decision and stand by it. End of story.

3. Take A Break Now And Then
If you constantly analyze a situation, believe me, you begin to lose sight of the forest. Give yourself a set amount of time every day to do something completely unrelated to your task. You will return with a fresh perspective on the situation.

4. Trust Experts In Your Field
I know this is almost the opposite of “Stand Your Ground”, but you need to realize when others know more than you do about a subject. The trick is to find a couple of experts that you trust in your field–people you respect. Listen to their advice and glean as much information from them as you can. You will be in a better position to make an informed decision.

5. Trust Your Intuition
I cannot stress this enough. I wrote a whole blog about it the other day. If something seems too good to be true, it is. There is no “probably”. It is. Period. If something doesn’t feel right to you, do not do it. Do not feel pressured to do it and do not be intimidated into doing it. Do not do it. Period. You don’t need to provide an explanation. You don’t even need to know the precise reason yourself. If it doesn’t sit well with you, if your gut is saying, “something’s not quite right here”, if your heart feels out of sync, simply don’t do it. And, never, never, never make a deal with the devil because sooner or later, he will come a knockin’.Happy Shopping:)
